History of Clive + Sunshine

I started making handmade stuffed animals in 1993 as an extension of my painting ideas and began selling them in 1999 in small shops carrying artist-made products. They were featured in "House and Garden" as one of their "97 Things We Love" December 2005 issue which was then televised on Isaac Mizrahi's show "Isaac" later that month. They soon became sought after by more retailers and orders became bigger. I loved that they were loved but making each one with the attention they required became too difficult for just me and it was never my desire or intention to make them on a large scale or outsource the work. So at the end of 2006 I officially stopped making Clive and Sunshine animals. Some may still remain in the shops I have listed on my links page. Each and every one was made with care by me, Jennifer Muskopf.
